San Diego , La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe and among the top cities and zip codes in America for luxury home listings and sales.  The county is known around the world for its luxury, oceanfront properties. Nationally, homes for sale in San Diego are ranked #5 for the most expensive real estate in the country, according to a report by the National Association of Realtors. If anything, luxury sales have only helped the market recover in recent years.

In October CoreLogic Data reported the median home price in San Diego County was $460,000, down 1 percent from September. The prices of homes for sale in San Diego County have fallen since June 2015. In September, sales of single-family real estate in San Diego fell 14 percent compared to August.
