Believe it or not, the holiday season is actually the perfect time for potential Homebuyers to buy their dream home in San Diego’s competitive real estate market.

Although rates did climb somewhat in 2013, they are still historically low.  Attractive financing plans are still available and best of all, the slower holiday season actually offers savings that will not be available when the market heats up in Spring, 2014.  Lenders are offering lower rates and special lender credits to attract buyers such as offering to pay their closing costs.  Sellers are motivated to sell by year end as they want to be freed up to buy their next home for the lowest possible price.  In addition, Sellers who want to take advantage of the tax benefits of selling in 2013 are even more motivated to sell at a lower price.

Home prices will undoubtedly rise again once Spring, 2014 rolls around, so now is a great time to buy!
